Coming Out Leaflet

Coming out is the concept of disclosure one SOGIE to someone. It can be nerve wrecking experiences when being LGBT+ is fully accepted by society. RoCK’s survey in 2015 shown that only 19% come out to their family while most are more confident to disclose to their peers due to fear of rejection. Some were forced to be out when their parents find out about their love relationship and some chose to be out because they want to live up to their true self. However, the experiences could be new to the parents, making the come out experience to be not so pleasant most of the time. So we raise questions when should be best to come out? how? what if it goes wrong? We can never have all the answers but what we can do is to learnt from our peers and brothers and sister who has gone through the experience before us. You can find out the information here in a newly designed leaflet: Coming Out Leaflet

Coming Out Leaflet is intend to provide tips and lesson learnt from LGBT individual to other LGBT who has not come out and want to come out. The material is the result of RoCK members gathering in Pride & IDAHOTB celebration and International Human Rights Day, and printed out the first edition in 2013 and revised as 2nd edition in 2020. Special thanks to our volunteer @Aly Sokly and @Nhel Savory for their times and effort to create a beautiful design.
