Advocacy and Awareness Raising
RoCK works with our LGBT+ members, authorities, and partners to advocate for equal rights and protections for LGBT+ people. We do so by focusing on actions needed at the community level, while also increasingly participating in joint efforts with other stakeholders for legislative and policy change at the national level.
SOGIE & Human Rights Workshop and Public Forum
At the local level, RoCK provides training and shares information with local authorities, public officials, and villagers on topics relevant to the LGBTIQ community such as SOGIE and Human Rights. Through these activities, LGBT+ members of the commune, as the rights holders, can raise their issues and ask for possible solutions from the duty bearers, such as local authorities and service providers.
