  Coordinator   About RoCK Rainbow Community Kampuchea (RoCK) is an LGBTQ rights organization who has a vision for Cambodia where Cambodian LGBTQ citizens feel happy to be who they are and live happy lives by having their rights protected and receiving full and equal respect and acceptance from all sectors of society, most especially families, communities and authorities. RoCK’s two main programs are organizing LGBTQ members in all 25 provinces and cities in Cambodia, and empowering the LGBTQ community to advocate for their rights and support from local authorities and the public.   Function: RoCK is looking for a Cambodian national to fill a position of Coordinator to oversee, coordinate, and implement its programs with the support from the programming team and the Board of Directors.   This position will suite a candidate with qualities indicated in the needed competencies and who has a willingness to professionally develop new skills and take on increasing responsibility as the organization grows.          Key duties: ·         Ensure the implementation of RoCK’s Strategic Plan and projects with guidance from the Board and support from the team; ·         Facilitate regular staff planning and reflection meetings which produce workplans and reports; ·         Assist the Board in overall budget of the organization with support from the Finance Officer; ·         With guidance from the Board, supervise overall work of RoCK as a local NGO and assist in developing internal policies and other important organizational documents; ·         Supervise, support and coach a growing small team of staff as well as nurture an effective and supportive team work; facilitate staff recruitment, contracts, ToRs, and performance appraisals; ·         Attend regular Board meetings and closely communicate with the Board on guidance and program updates; ·         With support from the Board and the Finance Officer, regularly communicate with donors regarding project proposals, budgets, updates, and reports; and ·         Be available for occasional national and international travel.   Competencies: ·         Strong interpersonal skills; ·         Strong knowledge, awareness, and empathy towards the rights, needs and challenges of LGBTQ communities in Cambodia especially in rural areas; as well as ability to develop a broad awareness of LGBTQ issues locally, regionally, and globally; ·         Commitment to social change and equality, as well as sensitivity to ignorance and oppression within the LGBTQ communities themselves; ·         Potentials or ability to demonstrate strong leadership skills; ability to lead, motivate, and effectively work with staff members as a team; ·         Ability to support staff to grow in knowledge, capacity and confidence; ·         Ability to collaborate and work with relevant partners and stakeholders; and ·         Ability and willingness to represent RoCK in civil society, nationally and internationally.   Requirement: ·         Technical or university level degree in a related field such as: social work, human rights, development etc. ·         At least 2 years’ working experience in coordination or management position in social work, human rights or related field. ·         Excellent command of Khmer and English languages.   People of any Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity and Expression (SOGIE) are equally encouraged to apply.   Interested candidates may send a cover letter and CV to .
